a5c7b9f00b When Lisa Tepes, beloved wife of Vlad Tepes AKA Dracula is acused of witchcraft and burned at the stake by an overzealous bishop, Dracula declares war on the people of Wallachia and unleashes an army of murderous demonic creatures from hell. Luckily, Trevor Belmont, last survivor of the Belmont clan, a disgraced family known for hunting all kinds of monsters, is still in town and agrees to take the fight to the lord of vampires. A vampire hunter fights to save a besieged city from an army of otherworldly creatures controlled by Dracula. I also wanted to give this a better review, will update if they actually release more.

As of right now, the show is 'nice' for how short it is. Starts off with giving you the backstory of whats going on ie Dracula's shoes, then immediately flips to the protagonist. After a brief intro of him, Series is done.

Where are the meat and potatoes?!?! The content of the show? Show length is of a Cartoon.

Cartoons nowadays have a beginning, middle and end in 20 mins. With a cliffhanger to keep you going. This show, just gives you an introduction, and ends. Disappointingof 7/11/2017 A decade after Nickelodeon proved that Americans can produce an equally outstanding anime with Avatar The Last Airbender, Netflix who have arrived with their ambitions to be leaders of the entertainment media continue to gamble, take risks, and with Castlevania, there is reason to believe that they can actually do it.

Adapted from the beloved Konami video game of the same name, Castlevania is the tale taken from Castlevania 3. Fan's of the beloved Konami game will find this series very appealing, and weeabooswellfans of American animation will find this show encouraging, and fans of good storytelling will want to give it a try.

The animation is spot on; character designs are handsome while the style is dark, Gothic, graphic and gory. The direction though is American; in action sequences, characters move "slower" than what you normally expect from Japanese anime, so the actions seems "softer." However, the action is still good, movements are still fluid and the fight scenes are well angled and creative.

The pacing is a little slow; but this is pretty normal even for standard Japanese Anime. All in all it feels American while retaining Japanese sensibilities.

I am very optimistic for this show, if it continues.
